My textual analysis essay had some mistakes. One of the main mistakes was the lack of detail. I had initially failed to provide a detailed description of the article. My essay was vague and misleading. This issue was one of the first that I fixed. I changed the information to something detailed. I fully described what was talked about in the article, leaving no details behind. This helped my essay by a substantial amount because it allowed the readers to comprehend what was being discussed. Another issue that my essay had was the pathos section. I had some difficulty figuring out the emotions that were elicited from the essay. I was able to recognize the emotions by taking a much closer look at the article. After finding these emotions I was able to complete the pathos section correctly. This section of the article was important because without it I would have failed in completing the rhetoric styles descriptions. The last thing that I fixed on the textual essay was my conclusion. The conclusion is one of the most important sections of the essay. The final section of the essay must be able to discuss the content of the entire essay. Fixing my conclusion was the last thing that I needed to do in order to make my textual analysis essay satisfactory.
Ethos,Pathos,Logos
Ethos, Pathos and Logos are all very important factors in an argument. Ethos is the source’s credibility, the main power source. Without ethos, an article cannot stand. The paper must have a credible source in order for it to be successful. Without proper credibility the paper will not be sufficient for readers, and will most likely be looked as a sham. If the article has a credible source behind it, the readers will believe the material in it without any doubt. After ethos, there is logos, the logic in the paper. Logos is needed in order to reassure the reader that the content in the paper is correct. The ethos helps the reader believe the content, but the logos provides more information in order to reassure the reader. Things like statistics and facts are vital for the success of the article. These items are sort of a backbone to it. Pathos is the icing on the top of the cake. Without this “icing” the cake would not be complete. By providing an emotional appeal in the paper, authors are able to connect to the readers. This is needed to finalize the purpose of the author. All three, pathos, logos, and ethos are crucial for a successful article.
